Stayed in an amazing cottage in Whitby overlooking the beach, place was even better than the photos. Great communication from the hosts and any queries were quickly and pleasantly answered. Place was lovely and warm, tea coffee etc was a welcome touch. Wouldn't hesitate to use again
Arrived and boiler was broken, house was so cold and hadn’t been check for over 2 weeks . Due to freezing temperatures had No choice but to find alternative accommodation as no suitable solution provided to fix the boiler that evening and only offer was a electric heater which would heat one room and leave rest of house cold and no hot water.
We did go back the next day as the boiler had been fixed and really enjoyed our state.
Complaint raised for full refund of first night and after we chased continuously we got told it wasn’t upheld and dismissed from any form of discussion. Zero acknowledgement of our situation and fault, refund or compensation for inconvenience and other out of pocket expense for alternative accommodation .
I would avoid this company due to a lack of ownership and trust and poor customer experience.
Before going to review sites I did message the owner of host and stay ( Dale Smith) to ask for a constructive chat about and heard nothing, hence decision to share and make others aware.
Too many irrelevant emails stating the same thing. When it came to contacting them, they didn’t ring me back and I had to ring again. The place needed a good clean (I had paid £125 cleaning fee upfront) and the tv was broken and obviously had been for some time. The front door key was bent and dangerous in a fire for example. Despite several complaints I have heard nothing. BEWARE!!!!
