I had a home rescue policy including landlord boiler maintenance. Last year the engineer was rude and irritable with my tenant. Didn't spend longer than 5 mins and claimed to have done the service and safety check. I complained saying I was not happy he had done it correctly. Customer services said he was at the property 20 mins. My tenant said he was sat in his car for 15 mins after he left. The leak continued my tenant didn't realise I was covered so put up with it. This year my tenant reported it to me. She said its the same leak. I contacted Customer services. They tried to suggest the engineer hadnt found the leak but another advisor told me it was in the documents. No effort to fix problem. Tried to sell me a new boiler on a 10 year deal instead. I had lots of calls from the sales team. Then I booked this year safety check. No one turned up. Then they tried to suggest they hadn't booked the appointment. Then this was proved false. Eventually engineer visited but the safety certificate didn't include the hob. All previous years hob is included. Customer services say the hob isn't included so the engineer didnt check it. My tenant says he did check it. I am at a loss. I cancelled my direct debit as I it was coming up to renewal and definitely did not want to renew. Now they say I am in breach of the agreement so they won't rectify anything. I want my full year subscription back. They offer me £40. The complaints department terrible. My 'resolution handler` Aleesha arguing moo points, contracting herself, attempting to gaslighting me and seeming to enjoy it all. They are law breaking dreadful company. I am going to keep complaining and raising awareness. No protection from FOS as its not insurance, even though you have a policy you make claims on and they use language 'your covered'

I took out 24/7 boiler cover on my fairly new boiler largely for the yearly service to ensure no issues especially in winter. Had my yearly service via the sub contracted firm Vaynol Pumping and Heating by Steve. Not long after this the boiler developed a serious leak. Bowl underneath but couldn't leave the house as needed frequent emptying. Phoned 24/7 no-one could come out till next day. As I was working a 12 hour shift next day huge problem. Took photo and spoke to electrician daughter. She suggested I try tightening a connection which was clearly designed to be hand tightened. I did this with success. Cancelled call out got refund. Started leaking again before Christmas. Manageable at first but increasing. Called someone out same company Vaynol who closed a tap. Problem solved. I believe it was not meant to be open at all. Tried for a refund. Vaynol denying problem caused by their engineer. 24/7 therefore refusing to refund despite the problem being caused by their subcontractor. Stay well away from this company as will not accept responsibility when tbing go wrong. £95 for a problem caused by their heating enginer. £95 for turning a tap off that should not have been left open ! !

I tried to order a call out for a faulty radiator on my cover but I had to answer so many questions including technical. I am not a technician, I am retired and I became so frustrated I just cancelled my policy.
